This blog is unlike any other blog. I actually will do barely any of the writing. What I am going to share with you is a poem my daddy wrote my mommy yesterday for their 27 years of marriage. Here goes it!! :]]
"27 years since you've held that bouquet
Praying my words would come out okayThen you appeared from the hidden hallwayJust 27 years ago, this very day.
Twas 27 years rang "here comes the bride"My breath taken away with every strideAnnouncing aloud what couldn't be deniedJust 27 years since you stood by my side.
27 years since I stood before you
Proclaiming my love would carry us through
Carefully following the ministers cue
27 years since I said "I do"
27 years ago I gave my life
Promising care, through all times of strife
Two became one as husband and wife
From 27 years through eternal life
For 27 years a new life's been sought
One day at a time as new life's been brought
Teaching and finding just how to be taught
Now 27 years we've learned a lot
For 27 years there's one thing that's true
My passion and love has been just for you
Five children created in live between two
For 27 years from the words "I do"
For 27 sweet years our love's set the pace
Each day as we're held in each others embrace
Never to release through trials we face
27 sweet years can be seen on our face
27 strong years weren't built on sand
But a firm foundation brought forth by one Man
Others can see but don't understand
After 27 years I keep holding your hand
27 years have been lived day by day
Supporting each other in every way
I'd do it again if only you'll say
For 27 more years I'll hold that bouquet. ~Don Mathews
Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!
It's so easy being who I am having you as my wife. I LOVE YOU!!!!"
The deepest desire of my heart is two have a marriage just like the two that the good Lord used to create me, my mommy and Daddy. People ask all the time what I want to do in life, what are my goals...I tell them I love dancing and music and just the arts in general. But what my heart longs for most is to be in that covenant relationship of marriage and to have a man of God just like my daddy and to be the virtuous woman just like my mommy. To be a woman who is known to love her husband and submissive to his heart and a mother that brought her children up in the ways of the Lord. I want nothing more than that.
I was not going to share one of my writings I did recently because of how personal it is. But I feel Holy Spirit telling me to do so. In a few days I will be posting another blog about my heart's true desire. And when I do, I pray that the hearts of woman, both young and old, will be opened up know this type of marriage and life is still possible. And for the men, that you all would see that there are still woman like this out in the world that long to serve and love your heart, you just have to find us and chase after us.
So with that, Happy Anniversary to the two who became one and showed a woman from the time of birth, what a marriage and home should look like. love you mommy and daddy!!!!!!!!!
